Water Flow Sensor YF-S201 Flowmeter
The YF-S201 Water Flow Meter Sensor is a compact and efficient device designed to measure water flow rates ranging from 1 to 30 liters per minute. Inside the sensor, a pinwheel spins as water flows through it. A magnetic Hall effect sensor detects the rotation of the pinwheel and generates an electrical pulse for each revolution. This Hall effect sensor is isolated from the water, ensuring it remains dry and safe from exposure.
To determine the flow rate, simply count the pulses emitted by the sensor. Each pulse corresponds to approximately 2.25 milliliters of water.
While the YF-S201 provides a simple and effective solution for basic flow measurement, its accuracy may vary due to factors such as flow rate, fluid pressure, and sensor orientation. For more accurate measurements (within 10% precision), calibration is necessary. Despite this, it is an excellent choice for general water flow monitoring applications.
