The TL Smoother Addon Module Board Kit is designed for 3D printers to eliminate motor clipping filters and pattern ripples, particularly when using the 8825 drive and low-resistance motors. It effectively removes the uneven signal wave at low speeds, ensuring a more consistent signal wave with the 8825 drive and a 24V power supply in Delta machines.
The TL-Smoother is an addon module for 3D printer stepper motor drivers. It is equipped with flyback diodes for the motor outputs, which also safeguard against inductance voltages when the driver is not powered.
This module ensures smoother motion, notably in delta-style 3D printers using DVR8825 stepper drivers or A4988/2 drivers. It is compatible with I3 and UM models, though the clipping effects may vary across different machines.
Please Note: If you are currently using Trinamic Drivers with SpreadCycle, or are considering upgrading to such drivers, then these TL-Smoothers may not offer the big benefit you’re expecting. This is because Trinamic’s patented SpreadCycle performs a very similar (albeit more efficient) smoothing/filtering process, with extra features like stealthChop that also assist in this regard.
