DHT-11 Digital Temperature And Humidity Sensor
The DHT-11 Digital Temperature and Humidity Sensor is a basic, ultra-low-cost option for measuring temperature and humidity. It uses a capacitive humidity sensor and a thermistor to detect the surrounding air and outputs a digital signal via the data pin (no analog input required).
While the sensor is easy to use, it does require careful timing to read data. One key limitation is that new data can only be obtained every 2 seconds, so it’s important to set your code to read the sensor at intervals of 2 seconds or longer. Compared to the DHT22, the DHT-11 offers lower accuracy, a smaller operating range, and reduced precision in temperature and humidity measurements.
However, the DHT-11 is a smaller and more affordable option, making it a suitable choice for basic temperature and humidity monitoring where cost and size are more critical than precision.
Note: This package does not include Arduino board, you have to buy it separately.
