PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
A strain gauge is an instrument used to measure the extent to which a material is stretched or compressed. The BF350-3AA strain gauge model features an integrated amplifier and a potentiometer for calibrating the output.
Strain gauges are sensors that alter their electrical resistance in response to applied forces. They are capable of measuring various physical forces such as pressure, tension, and weight by translating these forces into electrical signals.
The operation of a strain gauge is grounded in the principle of electrical conductance, which is influenced by the conductor’s geometry. When a conductor is stretched or compressed within its elastic limit, it alters in dimension—becoming either thinner and longer or shorter and thicker—without breaking. These changes affect its electrical resistance, which can then be quantified by a circuit.
Features:
- Two tubes of reverse protection ~ (to prevent the power supply from connected to the back)
- On board with a blue LED power indicator
- Analog output
- The higher the bending degree, the higher the output voltage
- Zero potentiometer
- Can be used to adjust the output voltage of the starting voltage.
