A sound sensor is a module that detects sound waves by measuring their intensity and converting them into electrical signals. The sound sensor includes an in-built capacitive microphone, a peak detector, and an amplifier (such as LM386 or LM393) that is highly sensitive to sound.
Sound sensors find applications in various day-to-day scenarios, including consumer electronics like phones, computers, and music systems, as well as security and monitoring systems such as burglar alarms and door alarms.
