The N20 12V 60RPM Micro Metal Gear Motor with Encoder, which is designed to work at 12 V. However, this type of motor can also run at different voltages, both higher and lower than the nominal one. The acceptable voltage range is 3 – 12 V, and the motor can start rotating with as little as 0.5 V.
Using voltages lower than 3 V may not be effective and using voltages higher than 12 V may reduce the motor’s lifespan. The micro metal gear motors come in various gear ratios, from 5:1 to 1000:1.
