The YFS403 5-18V Water Flow Sensor is composed of a plastic valve, a water flow rotor assembly, and a Hall sensor. The magnetic rotor rotates and its speed varies with the flow rate. The Hall sensor outputs a pulse signal that corresponds to the speed of the rotor. The controller receives the signal and determines the water flow size and control.
The sensor is installed at the hot water inlet to detect the water flow. When water passes through the rotor assembly, the magnetic rotor spins and its speed changes with the flow. The Hall sensor sends a pulse signal that matches the rotor speed to the controller, which then controls the flow. The sensor can be used for water heaters, card machines, water vending machines, and flow measurement devices.
