These compact and versatile WS2812B RGB addressable LED modules are less than a centimeter in diameter and can be connected in series to control each individual LED.
The WS2812B is a smart LED light source that combines both the RGB chip and control circuitry into a single 5050 package. It features an internal digital lock and a signal reshaping loop amplifier for seamless data transmission.
Additionally, the WS2812B includes a precision internal oscillator and a 12V constant voltage programmable current controller, ensuring consistent brightness and color accuracy across all pixels. The data transfer protocol utilizes a single-wire NZR communication mode.
When powered on, the DIN port receives data from the controller. The first pixel collects 24-bit data and sends it to its internal data latch. The rest of the data is then processed by the internal amplifier and passed along to the next pixel in the series via the DO port. With each transmission, the data reduces by 24 bits, but thanks to the auto reshaping transmission technology, the number of pixels in the cascade is only limited by the transmission speed, not signal loss.
These LEDs offer several advantages, including low voltage conduction, environmental friendliness, energy efficiency, high brightness, wide scattering angle, excellent color consistency, low power consumption, and long lifespan. The integrated control chip simplifies the circuit design, reduces the module’s size, and makes installation easier.
