MAX6675 Module with K Type Thermocouple Sensor
This module uses the Maxim MAX6675 IC to convert the K-Type thermocouple sensor input into a digital serial output that is compatible with microcontrollers (SPI compatible). The module can measure temperatures from 0°C to 1024°C with a 12-bit resolution and a 0.25°C accuracy. The maximum temperature that the supplied sensor can handle is 450°C.
The module has screw terminals for connecting the thermocouple’s spade connectors and a 5-pin standard 0.1″ header for interfacing with a microcontroller, such as an Arduino board.
The supplied sensor has a 4.5mm diameter and a 6mm threaded mounting bolt. The sensor’s cable and spade connectors are about 100cm long.
Features of MAX6675 Module with K Type Thermocouple Sensor: –
This device has an internal circuit that compensates for the cold junction of the thermocouple.
It can convert the temperature signal into a 12-bit digital format.
It also has a built-in feature that detects if the thermocouple is broken.
It uses a K-type temperature probe and outputs the temperature through a simple SPI serial interface.
It has high impedance differential inputs and can withstand 2000V of ESD signal.
