This module is a mini-DC-DC step-down voltage converter that can take 5-12 volts as input and produce 5 volts as output. It has input polarity reverse protection and output overvoltage protection, as well as short circuit protection. It uses synchronous rectification technology to achieve a very high-power conversion efficiency of up to 97.5%, which means it wastes very little of the input power.
