How to Use ATMEGA16 ATmega 32 ISP AVR Minimum Development System Board

Which AVR chips can I use on this board?

The socket and pin headers support ATmega16 and ATmega32 DIP-28 packages, as well as any other 28-pin AVR chips that share the same pinout.

How do I power the board during ISP programming?

You must supply external power via the DC-005 barrel jack or the Vcc/GND expansion pins. The ISP interface does not provide board power, so a separate 5–12 V source is required before programming.

What do the two LEDs indicate?

D1 is the power indicator LED, which lights when the board is powered. D2 is the program-run indicator, toggled by your firmware (typically connected to a GPIO pin) to signal successful code execution.
