28 Pin Wide DIP IC Socket Base Adaptor
A 28 pin wide IC socket base adaptor is an IC holder that can be attached to the PCB by soldering and can hold or release the IC as required. It acts as a removable IC holder. The IC base fits a wide IC.
The socket shields the IC from heat damage during soldering, which can affect some ICs more than others. It is also handy for microcontroller ICs that have to be programmed outside the PCB.
