Li-ion batteries have become the go-to choice for powering a wide range of indoor and outdoor devices, thanks to their high charge storage capacity. These batteries are widely used in today’s portable electronics because of their compact size, energy efficiency, and superior energy density compared to other battery types.

However, one of the main challenges with Li-ion batteries is the need for constant monitoring during charging and discharging. Without proper management, the battery’s lifespan can be shortened, and its charge storage capacity can decrease. Discharging below a certain voltage can cause permanent damage to the cells, while overcharging can lead to dangerous explosions.

To address these issues, our Li-ion Single-Cell Charger and Protection Circuit offers a reliable solution. This circuit is designed to safely charge a single 15A capacity Li-ion cell or a parallel-connected pack of 5 to 6 Li-ion cells (2500mAh). Using MOSFET technology, it actively monitors the battery’s charging and discharging process, providing comprehensive protection against overcharging, over-discharging, and short circuits to ensure your battery stays safe and performs optimally.

Wiring instructions:

1. B battery is positive.
2. B- battery negative.
3. P outputs the positive input for the battery pack.
4. P- outputs the negative electrode for the battery pack.
