PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This text describes a 1 Channel 5V Solid State Relay Module. This is an electronic device that can switch high-voltage AC loads using low-voltage DC signals. Unlike a mechanical relay, which uses physical contacts to open and close a circuit, a solid-state relay uses an infrared LED and a photo Triac to create an optical connection. Solid-state relays have some advantages over mechanical relays, such as no noise and longer lifespan.
A Solid State Relay works in a similar way to a 1 Channel 5V Relay Module Solid State High-Level SSR DC Control 250V 2A with Resistive, which is another type of electronic switch. When a digital signal is applied to the input, the relay changes its state. The NC (normally closed) terminal disconnects from the COM (common) terminal, breaking the circuit.
