W5100 Ethernet Module Ethernet Network Module for Arduino
The W5100 Ethernet Module is a single-chip Ethernet controller tailored for embedded applications that demand easy integration, stability, performance, and cost-effectiveness in terms of both area and system.
The module facilitates Internet connectivity without the need for an OS and adheres to the IEEE 802.3 17 BASE-T and 802.3u 10 BASE-TX standards.
Incorporating a well-established TCP/IP stack alongside an Ethernet MAC & PHY, the W5100 supports TCP, UDP, IPv4, ICMP, ARP, IGMP, and PPPoE protocols. This stack has undergone extensive testing across various applications over several years. Additionally, the W5100 is equipped with a 16KB internal buffer for efficient data transmission.
The W5100 simplifies operations by eliminating the need to manage the Ethernet Controller, requiring only straightforward socket programming instead.
