The Tilt Sensor Vibration Alarm Vibration Switch Module for Arduino is a simple yet effective module designed to detect the tilt of an object. Once powered, it’s ready to use — just attach it to an object, and it will monitor for any tilt. With digital output, you can easily check the status of the object by reading the output signal, which indicates whether the object is tilted or not.

The module uses an SW-460D or SW-520D tilt sensor, which operates on a ball rolling mechanism (NOT the mercury type). It features an M3 mounting hole for easy attachment to objects and includes a tilt switch with high sensitivity, making it ideal for tilt detection applications. The onboard power LED and status LED provide clear visual indicators of the module’s operation.

The module outputs a logic LOW when the object is not tilted, and it switches to logic HIGH once the tilt exceeds a certain threshold angle. The typical tilt range is from 45 to 130 degrees, although this can vary depending on the angular velocity. In addition to tilt detection, the module can also function as a vibration sensor.

This module can be easily interfaced with any microcontroller with a digital input, such as 8051, PIC, SK40C, SK28A, SKds40A, or any Arduino board for tilt detection functionality. It can also be used with a relay module to act as a tilt switch for various applications.
