Thermistor 100k NTC with 1 Meter Cable Temperature Sensor
This is a 100k NTC Thermistor with a 1 Meter Cable, designed for use as a temperature sensor in 3D printers like Reprap. Thermistors are thermally sensitive resistors that exhibit significant changes in resistance with small variations in temperature.
It’s important to note that a thermistor’s resistance change is non-linear and follows a specific curve provided by the manufacturer.
With a positive thermal coefficient (PTC), the resistance increases as the temperature rises, while a negative thermal coefficient (NTC) results in a decrease in resistance. Because the relationship is not linear, having an accurate measurement table is often more useful than relying solely on a linear formula.
