PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The MAX7219 Digital Tube Display Module Control Module is a device that can connect to any microcontroller or microprocessor through a four-wire serial interface. It can control 8-bit 7-segment digital LED displays, bar graph displays or 64 individual LEDs. It has an on-chip type B BCD encoder, a multi-channel scan circuit, a segment word driver and an 8×8 static RAM that stores each data byte. It allows the user to address each data byte individually and update the display without rewriting all the data. It also lets the user choose whether to encode or not encode each data byte.
The device has several features, such as a 150μA low-power shutdown mode, analog and digital brightness control, a scan-limit register that enables the user to display 1-8 bits of data per digit, and a test mode that turns on all the LEDs.
Wiring instructions:
- VCC to 5V,
- GND to GND,
- DIN to P00,
- CLK to P02,
- CS to P01
