This GPS module, based on the NEO-7M, is designed for satellite positioning. It supports the NMEA standard protocol output and features a built-in FLASH memory, allowing it to save settings even after power loss—without the need for an external EEPROM. The module comes with an onboard ceramic antenna that enables satellite detection in open areas without requiring an external antenna. Additionally, it is equipped with an SMA connector for attaching an external antenna, enhancing its positioning capabilities. For use, you can debug the GPS module via a micro USB interface using a data cable, or connect through the reserved serial port interface with a USB-to-serial module or external MCU to receive GPS data.
Wiring Instructions:
- VCC: Power supply (3.3-5V)
- GND: Ground
- TXD: module serial port transmission pin (TTL level, can not be directly connected to RS232 level), can be connected to the RXD of the microcontroller
- RDX: module serial port receiving pin (TTL level, can not be directly connected to RS232 level), can be connected to the TXD of the single chip microcomputer
- PPX: clock pulse output angle
