Force Sensor Resistor Square
This FSR (force sensitive resistor) has a 1.75 x 1.5″ square sensing area that changes its resistance based on the applied pressure. The more force, the less resistance. Without pressure, the resistance is over 1MΩ.
The FSR can detect forces from 100g to 10kg. It has two pins with 0.1″ pitch that fit into a breadboard. It also has a rubber backing with adhesive to attach the sensor to a surface.
To use the FSR, connect it to a resistor in a voltage divider circuit and measure the voltage at the junction. The voltage will vary with the force. These sensors are easy to use and good for detecting pressure, but not very precise. They can tell if something is squeezing them, but not how much it weighs.

How to Use Force Sensor Resistor Square
Mount the sensor on a clean, flat surface using its adhesive backing, then wire one pin to 5 V, the other through a fixed-value resistor (e.g., 10 kΩ) to ground.
