Product Description:
4 IR Sensor Array Module
Introducing the 4 IR Sensor Array Module, a versatile and reliable sensor system designed for precise detection in various applications. This module features four IR sensor arrays, each equipped with an IR transmitter and an IR receiver.
With an adjustable detection range from 1mm to 20cm, this sensor module offers flexibility to meet diverse proximity requirements. It performs optimally when the distance is closer, ensuring stable operation. Notably, white objects reflect infrared light the farthest, enhancing detection accuracy.
Measuring 42 x 38 x 12mm (L x W x H) for the control panel and 25 x 12 x 12mm (L x W x H) for each sensor, this module boasts a compact design, allowing for seamless integration into various projects.
Equipped with a 6-wire interface, including four signal output pins (1234), a positive power pin (+), and a negative power or ground pin (-), this module offers easy connectivity and installation.
The output signal is TTL level, making it compatible with direct connection to I/O microcontrollers. When the sensor detects infrared light reflected back, the red indicator light illuminates, and the output goes low. Conversely, when no infrared light is detected, the indicator light turns off, and the output goes high.
This IR sensor array module is ideal for applications such as robotics, automation, and obstacle detection systems, offering reliable and efficient detection capabilities for a wide range of projects.
Features
- Detection range: 1mm to 60 CM adjustable, the closer the performance more stable, white reflects the farthest distance.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I interface this module directly with an Arduino?
Yes. Simply supply 3.3–5 V to VCC and GND, then connect each sensor’s output pin to an Arduino digital or analog input. Adjust the onboard potentiometers to set detection thresholds compatible with your code.
How do I adjust the detection range for different surfaces?
Each channel has its own sensitivity potentiometer. Turn the potentiometer clockwise to increase detection distance or counterclockwise to reduce it. Test against your surface color and adjust until you achieve reliable triggering.
Will this module detect dark or black objects?
Detection is strongest on lighter surfaces, as they reflect more infrared light. Darker objects will register at closer distances—use the sensitivity controls to optimize detection on low-reflectivity materials.
