PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
A solid-state relay (SSR) is an electronic switch that has no moving parts, unlike an electromechanical relay. SSRs can be classified into three categories: photo-coupled SSR, transformer-coupled SSR, and hybrid SSR. A photo-coupled SSR uses an LED and a photo-sensitive diode to isolate the low voltage signal from the load optically. The diode triggers a thyristor, a silicon-controlled rectifier, or a MOSFET transistor that switches the load on or off.
The power output of this SSR depends on the triac’s trigger angle, which can be varied by a resistor of 470-560KΩ. The relay has a plastic cover to protect four screw terminals for ring or fork connectors.
