This Water Flow Sensor (Sea) DN80 Flowmeter 20-500L/min 5-24V sensor is built with a durable aluminum body and is engineered to accurately measure liquid flow rates from 20 liter per minute to 500 liters per minute. It features an internal Hall effect sensor that detects the rotational movement of blades caused by the liquid flow. As the blades spin, a permanent magnet generates a variable magnetic field, which is sensed by the Hall sensor. The sensor then converts this movement into a square pulse signal that is directly proportional to the flow rate, making it easy to monitor and track flow performance.
With a mechanical design suited for 3-inch piping, this flow sensor is rugged and designed for reliable, long-term use. The environmentally friendly encapsulation ensures safe operation across a variety of environments.
The sensor’s operational principle relies on a set of magnets installed at the ends of rotating blades. As the flow moves the blades, the magnets pass by a Hall effect sensor, generating a magnetic field that is read and converted into square pulses. These pulses are then transmitted via the yellow wire to a pulse counter for flow rate monitoring and analysis.
