TP5100 2A Lithium Ion 18650 Battery Charger Module
- The TP5100 2A Lithium Ion 18650 Battery Charger Module is a highly efficient, dual-switch buck charge management IC designed for charging 8.4V or 4.2V lithium-ion batteries. Its compact QFN16 package and minimal external components make it ideal for portable devices that require high-current charging capabilities.
- This module is packed with built-in protection features, including safeguards against input overcurrent, undervoltage, overtemperature, short circuits, reverse battery connection, and battery temperature monitoring.
- Operating with an input voltage range of 5V to 15V, the TP5100 charges batteries in three stages: trickle charge, constant current, and constant voltage. The charge current can be adjusted via external resistors, with a maximum charging current of 2A. The 400kHz switching frequency helps minimize the size of external components and reduces heat generation, making it particularly efficient during high-current charging.
- The module also features an integrated power PMOSFET and anti-reverse protection circuitry, eliminating the need for external Schottky diodes or additional reverse protection components, thus simplifying the design and improving overall reliability.
