Looking for Yf-g1 Sensor? YF-G1 Water Flow Sensor is available at Zbotic with fast shipping across India.
Product Description:
A water flow sensor consists of three parts: a plastic valve body, a water flow rotor assembly, and a Hall sensor. It is attached to the water inlet of the water heater to measure the water flow rate. The magnetic rotor in the water flow rotor assembly spins as the water passes through it, and its speed varies with the flow rate. The Hall sensor produces a pulse signal that corresponds to the speed and sends it to the controller. The controller then determines and adjusts the water flow accordingly.
Precautions for Use:
- Severe impact and chemical erosion are strictly prohibited.
- Throwing or collision is strictly prohibited.
- The temperature of the medium should not exceed 120 degrees.
- If the water quality is too bad, please add a filter at the water inlet.
- Do not use beyond the flow range
Features:
- This Sensor is Light and Handy in Appearance, Small in Size, and Easy to Install.
- The Impeller Rotates Around the Entire Stainless-Steel Bearing, and the Stainless-Steel Ball is Embedded to Improve the Rotational Sensitivity.
- The Sealing Ring Adopts an Upper and Lower Force Structure and will Never be Affected by Thermal Expansion and Contraction.
- The Hall Element is Imported, and Designed to be Isolated From Water, Epoxy Resin Encapsulated, Anti-Oxidation.
- All Raw Materials are in Compliance with ROHS Testing Standards
- Porous Design and Small Flow Can be Sensed as Usual.

How to Use YF-G1 Water Flow Sensor
Mount the YF-G1 inline on your water supply line, ensuring the arrow on the body matches the water flow direction. Connect the red wire to your DC supply (3.5–24 V), black to ground, and the signal wire to a microcontroller digital input. Use an interrupt or polling routine to count pulses from the Hall sensor, then apply your calibration factor to convert pulse frequency into liters per minute for real-time monitoring.

Frequently Asked Questions
What signal does the YF-G1 sensor output?
The YF-G1 outputs a square-wave pulse each time the magnetic rotor passes the Hall sensor, allowing the controller to calculate flow rate by counting these pulses.
What is the maximum operating pressure?
This sensor is rated for water pressures up to 1.75 MPa, making it suitable for residential, commercial, and light industrial applications.
Can I interface the sensor directly with a microcontroller?
Yes. Simply power the sensor with 3.5–24 V DC, ground it, and connect its signal line to a digital input pin on your microcontroller. Use an interrupt or timer to count pulses and derive flow rate.
