PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This is a Tiny RTC Real-Time Clock (RTC) DS1307 I2C module for Arduino, featuring the DS1307 RTC IC and a built-in backup battery. It allows for easy integration with Arduino boards via I2C communication, using either libraries or direct I2C commands to manage date and time settings. The module is powered by a lithium coin cell battery, which provides a minimum lifespan of four years.
In addition to the clock function, the module includes an Atmel 24C32 EEPROM chip for reliable, non-volatile data storage, ensuring that data is preserved even during power interruptions. The module also offers the option to connect a DS18B20 temperature sensor for temperature monitoring applications.
This RTC module keeps accurate time even when the Arduino is powered off, making it an excellent choice for applications like data logging, timestamping, or projects that require precise timekeeping. It communicates with the Arduino through the I2C interface, simplifying wiring and reducing pin usage.
Note: Battery is not included in the package, you need to buy it separately.
