The 12A step-down perfect version module is a non-isolated step-down module designed for versatile power regulation applications. It accepts input voltages ranging from 4.5V to 30V, with an output voltage range of 0.8V to 30V continuously adjustable, defaulting to 5V. It can deliver output currents up to 12A, providing enhanced heat dissipation up to 200W, with a maximum working temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. Operating at a frequency of 300KHz, it achieves conversion efficiencies of up to 95%, though efficiency may vary based on input/output voltage, current, and voltage difference. The module incorporates short circuit protection with a limited current of 14A and over-temperature protection, automatically disabling the output in case of over-temperature conditions. However, it lacks input reverse connection protection, which can be mitigated by adding a diode in series with the input. Installation involves using four 3mm screws, and wiring is facilitated through terminals without requiring soldering, with V-IN serving as the input and V-OUT as the output, and the module with a shell necessitates output wiring via welding wire.
