APDS9960 RGB Gesture Sensor Detection I2C Breakout Module for Arduino
The APDS9960 RGB Gesture Sensor Detection I2C Breakout Module for Arduino is a compact and powerful board featuring the APDS-9960 sensor. This versatile sensor can measure ambient light and color, detect proximity, and recognize touchless gestures, enabling effortless control of computers, microcontrollers, robots, and more with simple hand motions. It’s the same sensor used in the Samsung Galaxy S5, making it one of the most affordable and accessible gesture sensors available.
The APDS9960 is a high-performance device, equipped with UV and IR blocking filters, four diodes sensitive to multiple directions, and an I2C-compatible interface for easy integration into your projects.
For your convenience, we have broken out the following
- Pins: VL (optional power to IR LED); GND (Ground), VCC (power to APDS-9960 sensor), SDA (I2C data), SCL (I2C clock); and INT (interrupt). Each APDS-9960 also has a detection range of 4 to 8 inches (10 to 20 cm).
