PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This module serves as a normally open vibration sensor, ideal for various applications such as triggering theft alarms, controlling smart vehicles, or building electronic projects. It’s important to note that this sensor only detects minor vibrations briefly, which is not sufficient to activate a relay. Therefore, connecting this module directly to a relay is ineffective.
When stationary, the vibration switch remains off, resulting in a high output signal, and the module’s green light stays unlit. Upon detecting vibration, the switch activates momentarily, causing the output signal to drop to low and the green light to flash.
By connecting the output to a microcontroller, you can monitor the high and low states, enabling the detection of vibrations in the environment and triggering an alarm if needed.

How to Use Normally open vibration sensor module
Connect VCC to your 3.3 V–5 V supply, GND to ground, and the OUT pin to a digital input on your microcontroller. Mount the module securely using the bolt hole, then read the pin: it remains HIGH when idle and goes LOW momentarily on vibration, with the on-board LED flashing to indicate each event.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can this module directly drive a relay?
No, the module’s low output pulse is brief and limited to 15 mA, which is insufficient to energize a relay coil. Use it to signal a microcontroller, then switch a relay via a transistor or MOSFET driver.
What is the output signal behaviour?
The output pin remains HIGH when no vibration is present and drops to LOW momentarily upon detecting vibration. A green LED flashes in sync with each detection, providing immediate visual feedback.
What voltage range does the module support?
This vibration sensor module operates over a wide 3.3 V–5 V range thanks to its LM393 comparator, making it fully compatible with both 3.3 V and 5 V microcontroller boards like Arduino, ESP32, and others.
