Looking for Dht22 Temperature? Waveshare DHT22 Temperature-Humidity Sensor is available at Zbotic with fast shipping across India.
Product Description
The DHT22 (AM2302) is a digital module that measures temperature and humidity with high accuracy and a wide range. It has an onboard sensor that uses a single-wire interface to communicate with the environment. The sensor is a combination of a capacitive humidity sensor and a thermistor, which output a digital signal that does not require analog input pins.
Note: Simply connect the first pin on the left to 3-5V power, the second pin to your data input pin, and the rightmost pin to the ground. Although it uses a single wire to send data it is not Dallas One Wire compatible! If you want multiple sensors, each one must have its own data pin!
Features:
- Ultra-Low Power.
- No Additional Components.
- Long-Distance Signal Transmission.
- All Calibration, Digital Output & Completely Interchangeable.
- Relative Humidity & Temperature Measurement.
- Humidity Measurement Precision: 2-5% RH.
- Temperature Measurement Precision: 0.5 deg C.

Waveshare DHT22 Temperature-Humidity Sensor Overview
The Waveshare DHT22 Temperature-Humidity Sensor is a calibrated digital module that precisely measures ambient temperature and relative humidity. It combines a capacitive humidity sensor and a thermistor into a single unit with a digital single-wire interface, ideal for weather stations, greenhouses, and HVAC monitoring.
Key Features of Waveshare DHT22 Temperature-Humidity Sensor
- Temperature range −40°C to 80°C with 0.1°C resolution and ±0.5°C accuracy
- Humidity range 0%RH to 99.9%RH with 0.1%RH resolution and ±2%RH accuracy at 25°C
- Operates from 3.3V to 5.5V with a digital calibrated output, no analog input required
- Capacitive humidity sensor combined with thermistor and full-range temperature compensation
- Single-wire digital interface for easy integration (not Dallas One-Wire compatible)
- Genuine Waveshare product with fast shipping from Zbotic
Applications and Use Cases
- Home and industrial weather monitoring stations
- HVAC system performance tracking in buildings
- Greenhouse climate control and agricultural monitoring
- Data logging for environmental research or labs
- Smart thermostat and IoT prototypes requiring humidity feedback
How to Use Waveshare DHT22 Temperature-Humidity Sensor
To use the sensor, connect the leftmost pin to 3.3–5.5V power, the rightmost pin to ground, and the middle pin to a digital I/O pin of your microcontroller with a 4.7KΩ pull-up resistor. Install a DHT library (for Arduino, Raspberry Pi, etc.), initialize the sensor in your code, and read humidity and temperature values at up to one sample every two seconds.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I connect Waveshare DHT22 to an Arduino?
Wire the left pin to 5V (or 3.3V), the right pin to GND, and the middle pin to a digital input on the Arduino. Add a 4.7KΩ resistor between the data pin and VCC, then use an Arduino DHT library to initialize the sensor and call read functions in your sketch.
Can I use multiple DHT22 sensors on the same microcontroller pin?
No. Each DHT22 requires its own data line and pull-up resistor. The single-wire protocol used by the DHT22 is not a bus, so you must dedicate separate GPIO pins for each sensor.
What are the recommended storage conditions for this sensor?
Store the DHT22 between 10°C and 40°C with relative humidity below 60%RH to maintain calibration and prevent sensor drift.
