The WS2812B 4 x 4 RGB LED Module is a circular board featuring built-in full-color lights and a sleek black design. It boasts 16 ultra-bright smart NeoPixels LEDs arranged on a circular PCB with a 68mm outer diameter. These RGB ring lights are designed for easy connection, allowing one’s output pin to cascade to another’s input pin (DI-DO).
With this setup, a single chip can control numerous LED lights, as each one has an integrated driver chip, rendering it both intelligent and addressable. Each LED operates on a constant current drive of 18mA, ensuring consistent color even with voltage fluctuations. The absence of a need for an external resistor to limit current streamlines the RGB ring’s design, making it slim, simple, and user-friendly. The RGB ring operates on a 5V power supply.
The single wire communication alleviates the load on the I/O port, while the RGB WS2812B driver chip reduces the circuitry to just one capacitor, enhancing the overall experience. Additionally, this RGB ring can be linked to other RGB lamps with the same chip via a straightforward Dout input port, free from shape constraints.
