The RFM96 transceivers feature the LoRaTM long-range modem, which allows ultra-long range communication with high immunity to interference and low power consumption. The RFM96 can achieve a sensitivity of more than -148dBm by using HopeRF’s patented LoRaTM modulation technique and a low-cost crystal and bill of materials.
The RFM96 has an industry-leading link budget due to its integrated 20 dBm power amplifier and high sensitivity, making it suitable for any application that requires range or robustness. LoRaTM also provides significant benefits over conventional modulation techniques in terms of blocking and selectivity, avoiding the usual compromise between range and selectivity.
