The L293D Motor Driver Shield for Arduino is a versatile tool for various robotic projects. It features two servo connectors and four motor connectors, supporting both DC and stepper motors. Utilizing the L293D chip, it drives the motors while using Arduino pins 9 and 10 to control the servos.
The L293D is a 4-channel driver capable of handling high voltage and current, supporting DC motors and power supplies up to 36 volts with a maximum output of 600mA per channel. As an H-Bridge, it allows voltage to be applied in either direction, making it ideal for motor control.
This shield includes two L293D motor drivers and a 74HC595 shift register, which expands three Arduino pins to control eight motor driver outputs. The enable outputs of the L293D are directly connected to the PWM outputs of the Arduino for enhanced control.

Easy Connectivity: Features big terminal block connectors for convenient wire hook-up (18-26AWG) and power connection.
Arduino Compatibility: Tested and compatible with Arduino Mega 1280 & 2560, Diecimila, Duemilanove, and UNO boards.
External Power Option: Includes a 2-pin terminal block and jumper for connecting external power, ideal for separate logic/motor supplies.
