8 Channel 12V Relay Module Solid State High Level SSR DC Control 250V 2A with Resistive Fuse
This is 8 Channel 12V Solid State Relay Module. A solid state relay (SSR) is just what it sounds like; an IC that acts like a mechanical relay. They allow you to control high-voltage AC loads from lower voltage DC control circuitry. They accomplish this by using infrared light as the ‘contact,’ a solid-state relay is really just an IR LED and a photo Triac sealed up into a little box. Solid-state relays have several advantages over mechanical relays.
A Solid State Relay is similar to a mechanic relay where it can be controlled through a digital signal. Solid State Relay generates no noise and has a much longer lifespan compared to the traditional mechanic relay.
One such advantage is that they can be switched by a much lower voltage and at a much lower current than most mechanical relays. Also, because there are no moving contacts, solid-state relays can be switched much faster and for much longer periods without wearing out.

8 Channel 12V Relay Module Solid State High Level SSR DC Overview
The 8 Channel 12V Relay Module Solid State High Level SSR DC Control is a multi-channel solid state relay board designed for switching AC loads up to 240VAC/2A via 12V DC control signals. It features phototriac isolation and built-in resistive fuses, making it ideal for reliable, low-noise operation in automation and control systems.
Key Features of 8 Channel 12V Relay Module Solid State High Level SSR DC
- Eight independent SSR channels using G3MB-202P phototriac modules
- 12VDC power supply requirement drawing 160mA total
- High-level 12V trigger inputs for direct interfacing with PLCs or driver circuits
- AC switching capability: up to 240VAC at 2A (resistive loads)
- Integrated resistive fuses on each channel for over-current protection
- Phototriac isolation ensures minimal electrical noise and high switching speed
- Genuine product with fast shipping across India from Zbotic
Applications and Use Cases
- Home automation: control lighting circuits, heaters, and small appliances
- Industrial control panels for resistive load switching
- Laboratory setups requiring isolated on/off control of AC test fixtures
- Interfacing with Arduino, Raspberry Pi (via driver stage) or industrial PLCs
- Batch processing machines where silent, rapid switching is needed
- HVAC systems to switch fan motors or electric valves (with snubber where required)
How to Use 8 Channel 12V Relay Module Solid State High Level SSR DC
Connect a regulated 12VDC supply to VCC and GND on the module, then wire each AC load in series with the module’s output terminals. Drive an individual channel by applying a 12V input signal to its corresponding input pin; the internal phototriac will conduct, switching your AC load. Ensure wiring respects the 2A per-channel rating and observe proper isolation practices.

Frequently Asked Questions
What types of loads can this SSR module switch?
The module switches resistive loads up to 240VAC at 2A per channel. Typical uses include incandescent lamps, heating elements, and resistive test loads. For inductive loads (motors, solenoids), add a snubber or choose SSRs rated for inductive applications.
How do I drive the high-level inputs correctly?
Each channel input requires a 12V DC drive signal referenced to module GND. When the input sees 12V, the internal IR LED activates the phototriac, closing the AC output. Use driver transistors or level shifters if your logic supply is lower than 12V.
Is there built-in over-current protection?
Yes, each channel includes a resistive fuse that limits current in fault conditions, protecting the SSR and your connected load from over-current damage.
