4N35 IC – Optocoupler Phototransistor IC
The 4N35 optocoupler is composed of a gallium arsenide infrared LED and a silicon NPN phototransistor. The couplers have Underwriters Laboratories (UL) certification, which means they can withstand a 5300 VRMS isolation test voltage.
This isolation performance is achieved through a double moulding isolation manufacturing process. These families of couplers can also meet the partial discharge isolation specification of DIN EN 60747-5-2(VDE0884)/ DIN EN 60747-5-5 by ordering option 1.
These isolation processes and the ISO9001 quality program ensure the highest isolation performance possible for a commercial plastic phototransistor optocoupler. The devices come in lead formed configuration that is suitable for surface mounting and are available either on tape and reel, or in standard tube shipping containers.
