Enhance your gardening project with an SHT10 Soil Temperature and Humidity Sensor Module. This sensor has a Sensiron module that measures temperature and humidity inside a metal mesh casing. The casing is weatherproof and prevents water from entering and damaging the sensor, but allows air to flow through so that it can sense the moisture of the soil. It can be submerged in water, but it is better to avoid doing so for more than an hour at a time. If you need a sensor that can withstand longer submersion, you may want to look for a different one. You can also place it outside for outdoor weather sensing. For Arduino, there is a useful Sensiron library with an example.
