- The Realtek RTL8720DN is a compact yet powerful WiFi and Bluetooth module, supporting dual-band WiFi communication, including WiFi 5G and Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0 This versatile module integrates both WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities, making it an ideal solution for single-board computer (SBC) applications.
- At the heart of the RTL8720DN module is the highly integrated RTL8720DN chip, which includes a high-performance MCU (KM4) for intensive tasks and a low-power MCU (KM0) for energy-efficient operations. In addition to these, it features a WLAN (802.11 a/b/g/n) MAC, a 1T1R WLAN baseband, RF circuitry, Bluetooth support, and various peripherals. The module also includes an internal antenna, offering a complete solution for wireless communication needs.
- Compared to the ESP series, the RTL8720DN stands out with its support for 5G WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0, providing enhanced capabilities for more demanding applications.
