The DC 12V Switch Delay Relay Module features an adjustable delay time of 0 to 25 seconds and is based on the NE555 Timer IC, designed for high-performance timing applications. It includes a power indicator LED and timing indication LEDs for clear visual feedback.
This versatile module is suitable for various applications, including vehicle equipment, where it can delay ignition to prevent high surge currents that may damage components.
Operating as a monostable generator, the NE555 integrated circuit allows for adjustable delay times from 0 to 10 seconds, which can be configured using a potentiometer or by changing the capacitor values. It can control devices up to 220V and 10A.
The NE555 is renowned for its stability in generating accurate time delays and oscillations. It provides terminals for triggering or resetting as needed. In delay mode, timing is precisely managed by an external resistor and capacitor. For stable oscillation, the free-running frequency and duty cycle are controlled by two external resistors and one capacitor. The circuit can be triggered and reset with falling waveforms, and the output can source or sink up to 200mA, making it compatible with TTL circuits.
