If you need to do some data storage in Arduino, using the EEPROM is probably the simplest practice. In reality, Arduino’s ATmega chip itself has a certain EEPROM memory, but it is limited.
This is an external EEPROM memory module that uses the I2C bus line to connect with Arduino. It comes with a pluggable chip, making it easy to expand capacity—simply insert a larger EEPROM chip to increase storage.
The AT24C256 I2C Interface EEPROM Memory Module is based on EEPROM chips of the FT24C256A series with a 256K bit capacity (32k bytes). The module communicates with Arduino through the I2C interface and works well with Arduino-Sensor-Shield-V4.0 and the Arduino-I2C-COM-Cable.
With this Ethernet Shield, your Arduino board can connect to the internet. It can function as a server or client and can be directly plugged onto the puzzle board with no soldering required.
