3mm Clear Red DIP LED
This is a 3mm Red Clear DIP LED, a two-lead semiconductor light source that emits light when powered. When a suitable voltage is applied across its terminals, electrons recombine with electron holes inside the device, releasing energy in the form of photons. This process, known as electroluminescence, causes the LED to emit light. The color of the emitted light is determined by the energy bandgap of the semiconductor material used in the LED.
