A pure carbon film coats high-grade ceramic rods to make the CFR Series Carbon Film Resistors. Tinned connecting leads of electrolytic copper are welded to the end-caps after cutting a helical groove in the resistive layer. The resistors have a tan color lacquer coating. The ambient temperature should not exceed 70°C when operating the resistors.
