This is the CH340G USB to TTL (Serial) Converter, designed for USB to TTL / USB-TTL applications and compatible with STC microcontroller programming, as well as PL2303 upgrades. It comes with a transparent cover and is suitable for use with ARDUINO, RASPBERRY PI, AVR, PIC, 8051, and more.
Based on the CH340G USB to Serial TTL converter chip, this module supports 3.3V logic level signals and allows for easy switching between 5V and 3.3V logic levels using a supplied 2-pin shunt.
The CH340 USB to serial adapter offers a cost-effective alternative to the popular FTDI-based modules without sacrificing features or usability. After installing the drivers, the module appears as a standard serial COM port on your computer, ensuring compatibility with most terminal programs and development environments, including the Arduino IDE.
The module features a small switch that allows you to select the voltage at the VC (Supply output) pin, with options for 3.3V or 5V. The data pins, TX and RX, operate at 5V TTL levels, making them suitable for direct interfacing with most 5V microcontrollers.
