A Universal Battery Elimination Circuit (UBEC) is a standalone external switching power supply regulator that functions separately from a brushless Electronic Speed Controller (ESC). It transforms a high input voltage range of 5.5V to 23V into a consistent DC voltage that is appropriate for receivers and other electronic devices.
Capable of delivering an output current up to 3A, it is adept at powering receivers, gyroscopes, and over four servos. This attribute renders it ideal for remote-controlled model helicopters, First Person View (FPV) cameras, GoPro brushless gimbals, and sizable fixed-wing aircraft that necessitate high voltage and numerous servos, particularly for FPV video transmission.
