- The 5MP Raspberry Pi Zero W Camera Module, complete with a flexible HBV FFC cable, is designed for easy attachment to the Raspberry Pi Zero W. This compact camera module is ideal for small Raspberry Pi projects where space is at a premium—just boot up the latest version of Raspbian, and you’re ready to go!
- With its high-definition 5MP sensor, the camera captures stunning photos and can record video, making it perfect for applications like drones or CCTV setups. Its lightweight design also enables practical uses, such as a hidden camera or even a camera for a Pi-phone.
- This custom-designed Raspberry Pi Camera Module connects via one of the two small sockets on the upper surface of the Raspberry Pi board. Utilizing the dedicated CSI interface, which is specifically tailored for camera connections, the CSI bus allows for high data rates, exclusively transmitting pixel data.
- Measuring approximately 25mm x 23mm x 8mm and weighing just over 3g, this module is perfect for mobile applications where size and weight matter. It connects to the Raspberry Pi using a short flexible ribbon cable, linking the camera to the BCM2835 processor through the high-bandwidth CSI bus.
- The sensor boasts a native resolution of 5 megapixels and features a fixed-focus lens. It captures still images at 2592 x 1944 pixels and supports video recording at 1080p30, 720p60, and 640x480p60/90.
- No adapters are needed—this camera plugs directly into the Raspberry Pi Zero (or Zero W) camera port!
- Important Note!! This module is only capable of taking pictures and video, not sound. This 5MP Camera module is compatible with only Raspberry pi Zero W only.
