The MKS-GEN L V1.0, developed by Makerbase, is an advanced solution designed to overcome the limitations of open-source controller boards like the Ramps 1.4, specifically for 3D printing applications. This board enhances flexibility and performance, addressing key shortcomings of its predecessors to provide a more reliable and versatile control solution.
The MKS BASE-L, on the other hand, is a comprehensive electronics board ideal for Reprap and other CNC devices. Featuring an onboard ATmega2560 microcontroller and A4982 stepper drivers, it provides five motor outputs for precise control. Fully compatible with firmware used by Ramps1.4, the MKS BASE-L offers adaptability to various power sources, supporting voltages from 12V to 24V.
Engineered for versatility, the MKS BASE-L is particularly suited for manufacturers involved in the mass production of 3D printers, where it can serve as the primary control board. Unlike the Ramps1.4, it includes an additional E1 heating output, further expanding its functionality and making it a reliable choice for a wide range of applications.
